A teenage driver in Massachusetts last week swerved to avoid hitting a squirrel before crashing into a historic home built by the ancestors of President Abraham Lincoln, according to authorities.
Police said the 19-year-old driver was in a 2014 Audi Q7 when she served to avoid hitting the squirrel in the road and "drove off the right side of the road, over the sidewalk, and into the front of the house." Half of the vehicle ended up inside the cottage. Residents who were inside the cottage at the time were not injured. The driver was issued a citation for failing to stay in marked lanes, police said.More Related News
