
Man rescued after falling into ventilation duct in Hyderabad

A 40-year-old man was rescued from a ventilation duct in Hyderabad after suffering multiple injuries from a fall.
A 40-year-old man was rescued after he accidentally fell into a ventilation duct from the terrace of a residential building in Padmanabha Nagar, Hyderabad, on Monday (March 2, 2026) morning. He suffered multiple injuries.
According to Fire Department officials, personnel from the Langer Houz Multi-Purpose Tender Special Fire Officer unit rushed to the building following a distress call.
The victim, identified as Syed Taher, fell into the narrow ventilation duct from the terrace of the G+2 building. The firefighters used an extension ladder and rescue ropes to reach the man and carefully pulled him out of the duct. He was rescued alive but had sustained multiple injuries in the fall. He was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
