Man dead after CRPF fire at vehicle that jumped naka in Anantnag

One person was shot by CRPF personnel after a vehicle they were travelling in jumped a naka at Monghall bridge in south Kashmir’s Anantnag.

One person, travelling in an SUV, was shot by CRPF's 40th battalion when the vehicle jumped a naka despite being signalled to stop at Monghall bridge in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.

Police sources said the vehicle, which had no numberplate, was trying to pass through the checkpoint. When police tried to intercept the vehicle, the deceased rushed the car towards them.
