
Maharashtra govt orders preliminary inquiry against Param Bir Singh

The Maharashtra government has ordered a Preliminary Enquiry (PE) against former Mumbai police commissioner Param Bir Singh to probe his failure in the supervision of his men, including Sacin Vaze.
As the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) conducts a preliminary inquiry into allegations levelled by former Mumbai Commissioner of Police Param Bir Singh against former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh, the state government also ordered a preliminary inquiry against him. The Maharashtra government had ordered a prelimilinary inquiry against former Mumbai police commissioner Param Bir Singh. The order was issued in April following the inquiry details submitted by the present Mumbai police commissioner Hemant Nagrale. Following Param Bir Singh's explosive letter containing allegations against Anil Deshmukh, the Mumbai police conducted an inquiry with the concerned officers excluding Sachin Vaze who was in NIA custody then.More Related News

According to the police, 19-year-old Sachin Dharmendrabhai Chaudhary, who works as a labourer, had borrowed the money before expressing his inability to repay it immediately, police said. He was allegedly threatened with his life over the delay in repayment. Fearing for his life, Sachin immediately alerted the police.
