Madhya Pradesh by-polls: Congress gives ticket to Ajay Tandon for Damoh assembly 

Madhya Pradesh Congress has given ticket to Ajay Tandon for the Damoh assembly by-election to be held on April 17. 

Madhya Pradesh Congress has given ticket to Ajay Tandon for the Damoh assembly by-election to be held on April 17. Tandon will take on BJP’s Rahul Lodhi from Damoh Assembly constituency. The by-poll was necessitated after Lodhi resigned from the Assembly and Congress and later joined BJP in October last year. Ajay Tandon had contested against BJP’s Jayant Mallaiya two times earlier. Mallaiya had won the Damoh seat six times from 1990 and 2013 but lost to Lodhi in 2018 by a narrow margin of 798 votes.
