'Made in India' testing kit for black fungus developed in West Bengal

A group of scientists in West Bengal has created the first indigenously developed testing kit to detect mucormycosis or black fungus in patients. These kits will bring down the price of mucormycosis diagnosis from Rs 7,000-8,000 to Rs Rs 1,000.
A group of scientists in West Bengal's South 24 Parganas district has developed the first indigenous testing kit to detect mucormycosis or black fungus, a fungal infection that is observed among patients who recovered from Covid-19. The DiAGSure Mucormycosis Detection Kit has been prepared by the scientists at a laboratory in South 24 Parganas's Bakrahat area.More Related News
