Liverpool goalkeeper Allison, Roberto Firmino and Joel Matip ruled out of key Chelsea game due to Covid-19

Liverpool goalkeeper Allison, centre back Joel Matip and striker Roberto Firmino all returned positive Covid-19 tests and won't be part of the squad that faces Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Liverpool's Alisson Becker, Roberto Firmino and Joel Matip have missed the Premier League trip to Chelsea on Sunday after returning positive tests for COVID-19, the Merseyside club said. Manager Jurgen Klopp will also be absent from the game after testing positive on Saturday, with his assistant Pepijn Lijnders set to take charge at Stamford Bridge.

The club said other members of the playing squad had subsequently been tested and received negative results.
