
Lions escape Australia zoo enclosure after issue with containment fence, guests rushed to safety

Five lions at Australia's Taronga Zoo in Sydney were able to briefly escape their enclosure in an "emergency situation" due to an issue with a containment fence.
At 6:30 a.m. local time, one adult male lion and four cubs were located outside their main exhibit. The lions were found in a small area adjacent to the exhibit, where a 6-foot fence separated them from the rest of the zoo.
