LHSC's top exec sends 'deepest apologies' to staff after error leaves them without pay

The top executive at London Health Sciences Centre apologized to nearly 15,000 employees who didn't get paid Thursday because of what she called a "significant error."
In an email to employees, Jackie Schleifer Taylor wrote employees will be paid on Thursday and the hospital would cover any fees incurred because of the delayed paycheques.
"An inputting error caused the problem and we have put in place a new procedure to safeguard this from happening in the future," the hospital network's president and chief executive officer wrote. "It is imperative that pay is deposited regularly and reliably. A delay like this can e stressful and even cause a financial impact.
"Please accept my deepest apologies for the delay in your November 24 pay...I am so very sorry for this error."
