The Nets’ worst fears were realized late Monday afternoon. They will be without two-thirds of their Big 3 in the season’s biggest game. An MRI exam confirmed Kyrie Irving has a sprained right ankle and he won’t be able to play in Tuesday night’s seismic Game 5 of the Eastern Conference semifinals against the Bucks at Barclays Center. James Harden’s strained right hamstring isn’t ready, either. It is uncertain if either player will be back in the series, although Harden is “progressing” and doing on-court work, according to Nash.
