Konkan region, Goa to witness heavy rainfall, IMD issues orange alert for July 30-31

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) on Tuesday issued an orange alert for the Konkan region and Goa for July 30-31.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Tuesday predicted widespread rainfall over the Konkan region and Goa over the next five days. There may be substantial rainfall activity in isolated areas of Konkan and Goa over the first three days. There will be heavy to very heavy rainfall on July 30 and 31 and an orange alert has been issued. About 11.5 cm to 20.4 cm rainfall is expected in the next 24 hours.
