Khadim of Ajmer Dargah arrested for beheading threat to Nupur Sharma

The Khadim of Ajmer Dargah, Salman Chishti, was arrested by the police after he spoke about giving his house to anyone who beheaded former spokesperson of Bharatiya Janata Party Nupur Sharma.
Ajmer Police arrested Salman Chishti, Khadim of Ajmer Dargah, last night for allegedly giving a provocative statement against suspended BJP leader Nupur Sharma, said Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Vikas Sangwan.
According to the ASP, Khadim Salman Chishti was arrested around 12.45 am on Wednesday after a video of him threatening Nupur Sharma went viral.
Salman Chishti, who is talking about giving away his house to anyone who beheads Nupur Sharma, is also a history-sheeter of Dargah police station.
The video is similar to the video of Kanhaiya Lal murderers Riyaz Mohammad and Ghaus Mohammad made before the murder. In the video of about three minutes, Salman Chishti is openly threatening to kill Nupur Sharma, citing his religious sentiments.
In the video, Salman Chishti is saying, “I swear by my mother who gave birth to me, I would have shot her publicly. I swear by my children, I would have shot her and even today I say, whoever brings Nupur Sharma's head, I will give him my house. Salman promises this.”
A case was registered at Alwar Gate police station in Ajmer city after the video went viral. Ajmer ASP Vikas Sangwan said that the police have adopted a very strict attitude regarding this video. “Salman Chishti is seen in a drunken state in the video,” Sangwan said.
