Kerala Police chief Anil Kant on Friday said that the state police will set up a drone research laboratory to address the latest security threats posed by drones.

Kerala's new police chief DGP Anil Kant on Friday said that the state police will set up a drone research laboratory to address the recent security threats posed by drones. State Police chief's announcement comes a day after the Army chief said that easy availability of drones has increased the complexity of security forces in the country. Anil Kant was briefing the media in Thiruvanathapuram and said, “The drone research lab will be setup to address the latest security threats. Cyberdome will help us develop the lab. We will also consider collaborating with the union government in this research. The research will primarily address the recent security threats posed by drones.”
