Kanpur: Girl attacked by bottle for opposing eve-teasing

Recently, a female student who protested against eve-teasing was attacked by a few drunkards in Kanpur.
In a shocking incident, a girl from Govind Nagar, Kanpur, who protested against eve-teasing was attacked by a few drunkards.
As per the report, along with the girl, the miscreants also attacked the neighbour who came to her rescue.
The woman sustained severe head injuries after she was allegedly hit with a bottle on her head.
Kanpur Police has registered a case under sections 294,323, and 504 of the IPC. Although the girl was assaulted by the accused, the FIR has been registered under sections of bailable offence and no section of molestation.
The victim told India Today that she went out to eat momos in the market where a few drunkard men misbehaved and abused her. When she protested against it the accused hit the bottle on her head.
Kanpur Police told Aajtak/India today that the medical of victims has been done. The police are looking for the accused and the investigation is on.
