As many as six fresh cases of Zika virus were reported in Uttar Pradesh's Kanpur, taking the total tally in the district to 10.
As many as six fresh cases of Zika virus were reported in Uttar Pradesh's Kanpur on Sunday, taking the total tally in the district to 10. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that proper steps should be taken for safety and treatment of the affected patients.Director of Communicable Diseases Department of the state, Dr. GS Bajpai said that a special ward has been set up in Kashiram Hospital where Zika patients from Lucknow have been admitted. Patients in the ward have been kept inside mosquito nets. Bajpai urged the residents of the city to keep their surroundings clean in order to avoid the breeding of mosquitoes. He further appealed for cooperation with the administration to fight the disease and assured that all patients would be fine.
