'Just For 1 Day': Jimmy Kimmel Delivers Urgent Message After Charlie Kirk Shooting
HuffPost
The late night host hopes everyone can agree on this.
Jimmy Kimmel didn’t mention the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk during his opening monologue on Wednesday, but offered up a plea on social media.
“Instead of the angry finger-pointing, can we just for one day agree that it is horrible and monstrous to shoot another human?” Kimmel wrote on Bluesky and Instagram.
Kirk, 31, was shot and killed while speaking at an event at Utah Valley University, leaving behind a wife and two young children.
Kimmel sent a message from his family to Kirk’s, as well as to all families impacted by gun violence.
