July 6, 2019: Rohit Sharma became the first batsman to hit 5 hundreds in a single World Cup after hitting 103 in 94 balls in India's final league game against Sri Lanka.
India's limited-overs vice-captain Rohit Sharma had etched his name in record books on July 6, 2019 when he became the 1st player to hit 5 hundred in a single edition of the World Cup Rohit created history when he scored his 5th hundred in World Cup 2019 and 27th in his ODI career during India's emphatic 7-wicket win over Sri Lanka at Leeds in their last group game. Sharma surpassed Sri Lankan legend Kumar Sangakkara's record for the most number of centuries in one edition of the mega event. Sangakkara had smashed four centuries in the 2015 edition of the prestigious quadrennial event. Rohit created history when he scored his 27th hundred in one-day internationals.More Related News
