Joel Embiid ripped for missing another game vs. Nikola Jokic, Nuggets: ‘Where’s Embiid at?’
NY Post
Joel Embiid once again is denying NBA fans a marquee matchup.
The reigning NBA MVP skipped the Philadelphia 76ers’ 111-105 loss on Saturday to Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets.
This is the fourth straight year Embiid has missed the Sixers’ game in Denver.
Philadelphia scratched Embiid shortly before tipoff with what was called discomfort in his left knee during warmups.
“He really wanted to play, and the medical team did not deem him fit to play today,” Sixers coach Nick Nurse said after the game, according to the Associated Press. “That’s too bad for those fans. That’s too bad.”
Embiid has now not appeared in a game in Denver since Nov. 8, 2019.

The Knicks won’t be raising a banner to the rafters at Madison Square Garden to commemorate their victory in the 2025 NBA Cup, and you can count your humble narrator among the faction that wishes they’d chosen differently. I’m not quite sure when it became mandatory to rinse as much fun out of sports as possible, but we’re sure trying.
