Joe Scarborough Thinks Things Could Get Ugly If U.S. Gets 'Drunk On Power'

The MS NOW host called plans to take military action against Cuba a "recipe for disaster" during Monday's episode of "Morning Joe."
Joe Scarborough issued a warning about the threat of America getting “drunk on power” as high-level Republicans seem increasingly intent on using military force against another foreign power.
During Monday’s episode of “Morning Joe,” the MS NOW host called the Trump administration’s plan to follow attacks on Venezuela and Iran with a mission to take Cuba a “recipe for disaster.” He also reminded viewers how history had proven that that kind of military intervention “never ends well” for the U.S.
After rolling a clip of Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) gloating that Cuba was “next” on the U.S.’s list of targets, Scarborough described the senator’s trigger-happy attitude as something real conservatives, like himself, have long feared and loathed.
Scarborough scoffed at the idea that it was America’s responsibility “to export democracy to all four corners of the globe.”
″‘We’re on the march, we’re going across the world.’ No! No, that didn’t work for George W. Bush, it’s not going to work for this president,” he said. “And this sort of American adventurism, this sort of jingoism, where you’re saying, ‘let’s invade Venezuela, let’s invade Cuba, let’s invade Iran, let’s march through the world and invade all the bad guys,’ time and time again it has proven to be a trap.”
