Jimmy Kimmel on Wednesday joined the growing chorus of criticism aimed at President Donald Trump over the new plaques he’s added to his so-called “Presidential Walk of Fame” at the White House, which features portraits of past presidents.
Kimmel read aloud the disparaging, insulting texts on the plaques for Democratic presidents Joe Biden and Barack Obama, which were reportedly written by Trump himself.
Trump’s words for fellow Republican Ronald Reagan, however, struck a very different tone, noted Kimmel. In it, Trump claimed Reagan was a big fan of his ― a claim Kimmel promptly called B.S. on.
“Reagan was a fan of his long before he ran for president,” Kimmel said. “Ronald Reagan died in 2004. He was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s 10 years before that. What was he a fan of exactly? Trump’s Pizza Hut commercials?”
