The late night host hit back after the president fired off an attack on air traffic controllers.
Jimmy Kimmel roasted President Donald Trump on Monday for bragging about his flyover of Northwest Stadium as he attended a game between the Washington Commanders and Detroit Lions.
“I just want to say, was that the greatest flyover ever?” Trump boasted. “Nobody’s ever done a flyover like that.”
Kimmel pointed out that Trump’s stunt came as thousands of other flights were canceled due to the government shutdown.
Some air traffic controllers stayed home or sought other jobs rather than go to work without pay, and Trump railed against them on social media.
“I am NOT HAPPY WITH YOU,” the president wrote on Truth Social. “You will have a negative mark, at least in my mind, against your record. If you want to leave service in the near future, please do not hesitate to do so, with NO payment or severance of any kind!”
