
Jharkhand youth lynched, body set on fire for cutting sacred trees

Angry residents of Jharkhand’s Besarajra village barged into a youth's house, dragged him out and thrashed him till he was dead for allegedly cutting sacred trees in the area. His body was then set on fire.
A youth from Jharkhand’s Besarajra village in the Simdega district was lynched by a mob of locals for cutting a few trees to sell the logs. The villagers claimed that the trees were sacred and it was blasphemous to harm them.
After killing the youth Sanju Pradhan, the angry villagers set his body on fire.
