Jets brimming with excitement about flipping feeble running game into calling card
NY Post
Jets guard John Simpson was asked last week about the prospects of the team being more run-heavy this year.
“I’m excited,” Simpson said.
Simpson then paused and leaned closer to the microphone to make sure everyone heard him: “I’m really excited,” he said before letting out a cackle.
Simpson is not alone in his excitement around the Jets about being a run-first offense in 2025. It is hard to take away many conclusions from the first week of training camp, but the Jets have looked good running the ball.

Suddenly, someone had hit a rewind button and everyone had been transported back seven months. It was early spring instead of late fall, it was broiling hot outside the arena walls and not freezing cold. Everyone was back at TD Garden. There were 19,156 frenzied fans on their feet begging for blood, poised for the kill.
