Jay-Z's rare bottle of D’ussé Cognac sells for $52,500 at auction
Fox News
The billionaire rapper’s D’ussé Cognac sold for more than $50,000 at Sotheby’s over the weekend, with the money raised going towards his charity organization, the Shawn Carter Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to mentoring students.
The Grande Champagne Cognac, called "Bottle No. 1," is a limited edition spirit from 1969. It’s stored in an opulent, diamond-shaped bottle with an engraved signature from the "Empire State of Mind" rapper himself. The auction went live on March 1 with no reserve, so bids on the bottle started at $1, but Sotheby’s estimated sales would range between $24,000 – $75,000, Forbes reported. The winning bid totaled a whopping $52,500.More Related News
