James Cook is lone Bills player skipping OTAs in latest contract twist
NY Post
Money talks, and so does not showing up for work — even if you aren’t required to be there.
James Cook is the only Bills player not at the team’s voluntary offseason team activities (OTAs) beginning Tuesday amid contract drama, head coach Sean McDermott told reporters.
Cook previously said he’s looking for $15 million per season.
While these OTA are voluntary, Cook is seemingly sending a message — and trying to avoid injury — by staying away while he hopes to be rewarded like fellow backs such Saquon Barkley and Christian McCaffrey.
Cook, 25, is entering the last year of the four-year contract he signed after being selected in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft.
He is set to become an unrestricted free agent after the season.

‘Freak of nature: Zion Williamson’s resurgence could pose a Knicks problem versus motivated Pelicans
Zion Williamson is slimmer and healthier for his trip to MSG.

Almost a year to the day after a goaltender interference call against Kyle Palmieri lost the Islanders a game against the Blue Jackets that started their season’s death spiral, they were on the wrong end of another controversial call against those same Blue Jackets that might have had the same effect.

SAN DIEGO — As you may have seen elsewhere in this newspaper (and also if you haven’t deleted me yet from your social media), I have a book coming out Tuesday called “The Bosses of The Bronx.” Much of it details the 37 years’ worth of antics, winning, losing, winning again and overall mania of George Steinbrenner’s time with the Yankees.
