IPL-based Australian players reunite with family after 2-week hotel quarantine in Sydney

Australian cricketers, supports staff and commentators, who were part of now-postponed IPL 2021, reunited with their family after completing their 14-day quarantine in Sydney.

Australian cricketers have finally completed their mandatory 14-day hotel quarantine in Sydney and have reunited with their family for the first time after the IPL 2021 was postponed on May 4. The Australian involved in the cash-rich league tournament could not fly back directly and had to halt in the Maldives for almost a fortnight due to ban of direct passenger flights from Covid-hit India to their country. Pat Cummins, Steve Smith and David Warner were among 38 players, coaches, officials and commentators to be released from quarantine at Sydney's Marriot Hotel.
