IPL 2022: BCCI secretary Jay Shah heaped praise on the curators and ground staff across the 6 venues which hosted this year's matches as the board announced Rs 1.25 cash prize.

Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary Jay Shah on Monday, May 30 heaped rich praise on the curators and the ground staff of all the 6 venues that hosted IPL 2022, saying they were the 'unsung heroes' of a successful season.

The BCCI announced Rs 1.25 prize money for the curators and the ground staff across all 6 venues that hosted the IPL 2022 season. Jay Shah said the curators and the ground staff at the Wankhede Stadium, Brabourne Stadium and DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai along with the ones at the MCA Stadium in Pune will get Rs 25 lakh each, while Rs 1.25 crore each for the ones at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata and Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

"I'm pleased to announce a prize money of INR 1.25 crores for the men who gave us the best games in #TATAIPL 2022. The unsung heroes - our curators and groundsmen across 6 IPL venues this season," Jay Shah said on Monday.

the BCCI hosted the 70 league games in Maharashtra across the 4 venues in Mumbai and Pune. Qualifier 1 and the Eliminator were held in Kolkata while Qualifier 2 was held in Ahmedabad.

Gujarat Titans won the IPL 2022 title in their debut season as Hardik Pandya's men created history in front of a packed crowd at the largest cricket stadium in the world. Gujarat defeated Rajasthan Royals by 7 wickets in the final on Sunday, May 29.
