IPL 2022 Final, GT vs RR: Dinesh Karthik congratulates Gujarat for winning the title – You can be proud of yourselves

On Sunday, Hardik Pandya became the Player of the Match after Gujarat defeated Rajasthan by seven wickets in the IPL 2022 final.

Veteran Indian batter Dinesh Karthik congratulated the Gujarat Titans (GT) for winning the 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) in only their maiden appearance. On Sunday, May 29, the Titans, led by Hardik Pandya, defeated Sanju Samson’s Rajasthan Royals (RR) by seven wickets with 11 balls left at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

The Titans started their campaign after finishing as the table-toppers with 10 wins from 14 matches. Thereafter, they got past the Royals in Qualifier 1 and the final to clinch the trophy. Karthik, who played for the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), heaped praise on the Titans for their powerful show.

The 36-year-old, who recently made a comeback to the national team after three years, lauded Pandya as well for his superlative efforts throughout the season. Pandya became the Player of the Match in the all-Important final.

Karthik took to Twitter and wrote “Well done @gujarat_titans. Fabulous play throughout. @hardikpandya7 you're an absolute champion @rajasthanroyals you'll can be proud of yourselves. Great tournament. To every player, support staff, groundsmen, broadcasters, administrators and to all fans.”

After GT came up trumps, Pandya lauded his teammates for putting in collective efforts. He also talked about the importance of having quality bowlers in order to taste success.
