Royal Challengers Bangalore wicket-keeper Dinesh Karthik opened up on the high octane game against his former team Kolkata Knight Riders at the DY Patil Stadium in the Indian Premier League (IPL 2022).
Karthik said that he's excited and nervous at the same time about facing his former teammates, and said that he has also given RCB inputs about Varun Chakravarthy and Sunil Narine.
Dinesh Karthik feels RCB are confident enough to pose a threat to Andre Russel.
Joining KKR in 2018, he spent four years with the franchise, and his team were runners up in last year’s IPL, losing to Chennai Super Kings in the final.
Karthik was the captain of KKR in the 2020 season, and was sacked from his position midway through the season due to their shambolic performances under his leadership.
On familiarity of playing against KKR
“I have terrific memories in those four years, I respect everyone. The CEO is someone who is very close to me, on a very personal level.”
