IPL 2021: MS Dhoni should not bat at No. 5 for CSK in crucial situations, says Kris Srikkanth

IPL 2021: MS Dhoni walked in at No. 6 ahead of Ravindra Jadeja and Sam Curran in a tricky chase of 172 against KKR on Sunday. The CSK captain failed to get going and was eventually dismissed by Varun Chakravarthy for 1 from 5 balls.

Former India captain Kris Srikkanth on Monday said MS Dhoni himself understands the need for him to send the likes of Ravindra Jadeja, Sam Curran and Dwayne Bravo higher-up the order in crunch situations and that the Chennai Super Kings captain should bat lower down the order in the remainder of IPL 2021.

Kris Srikkanth said MS Dhoni is more important for the team as captain and his batting can take a backseat as CSK look to continue their winning run in the UAE.
