South Africa's Director of Cricket Graeme Smith on Monday said that the country's cricket board has offered support to their players in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 after positive Covid-19 cases were reported in the league. However, Smith said the players have been given the choice to decide about their stay in India, which has been badly hit by the second wave of Covid-19 pandemic. There are as many as 11 South African players featuring in the IPL. None of them are part of Kolkata Knight Riders who had two positive Covid-19 cases on Monday. However, the likes of Faf du Plessis, Lungi Ngidi and Imran Tahir are part of Chennai Super Kings whose bowling coach L Balaji tested positive on Monday. Meanwhile, it has emerged that the BCCI has asked Delhi Capitals to isolate themselves after their match against KKR on April 29.
