IPL 2021: Faf du Plessis has exceeded expectations, never rated him as dangerous T20 batsman - Gautam Gambhir

Former Indian opener Gautam Gambhir said that he has never rated Chennai Super Kings opener Faf du Plessis as a dangerous T20 batsman but the South African has exceeded all the expectations in the ongoing tournament.

Chennai Super Kings opener Faf du Plessis’ batting in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) surprised Gautam Gambhir. The former India opener said that he never rated South African as a dangerous T20 batsman.

"Honestly, if you ask me, yes, he has exceeded expectations," Gambhir told ESPNCricinfo.
