IPL 2021: Everyone will see an aggressive KL Rahul this season, says Punjab Kings batting coach Wasim Jaffer

Punjab Kings batting coach Wasim Jaffer said that the fans will see a different side to KL Rahul’s batting this season and added that he will play with a lot more aggression as compared to IPL 2020.

Despite scoring the most runs in IPL 2020, Punjab Kings skipper KL Rahul was unable to take his side into the play-off stages of the tournament. Although he piled up 670 runs in 14 matches at an average of 56, his strike rate of 129.35 was pointed out by some fans as the reason the team was unable to put up a huge total. But batting coach Wasim Jaffer believes that IPL 2021 will bring out a different kind of KL Rahul. He said that the Punjab Kings skipper will be a lot more aggressive in his batting style this time around. Jaffer also defended Rahul’s approach in IPL 2020 saying that the team did not have too many batsmen after the No. 5 position and therefore he had to stay at the crease and bat deep.
