CA chief Nick Hockley said the decision on Australia players' availability for the remainder of IPL 2021 season, scheduled to be held in the UAE later this year, can wait. Australia players reunited with their families on Monday after completing a 2-week quarantine upon arrival in the country.
Cricket Australia's chief executive Nick Hockley on Monday said the governing body is yet to have a discussion about their players joining the IPL franchises again when the tournament resumes in the UAE in September-October. Hockely said the Australian players and support staff were relieved to return home and the priority for them is to spend time with families. Notably, Nick Hockley was confirmed as CA chief executive on Monday after performing the duties in an interim role. Australia players were allowed to exit quarantine after their 2-week-long stay at hotels in the country. They arrived in Australia from the Maldives. Close to 40 Australians, including players, coaches, officials and commentators were part of the IPL bandwagon before the league was halted on May 4 after Covid-19 breached its bio-bubble.More Related News
