IPL 2021: Avesh Khan is the second highest wicket taker in the tournament this year and provided the breakthrough for DC with the wicket of MI captain Rohit Sharma on Saturday.
Delhi Capitals (DC) Pacer Avesh Khan is the most improved bowler in the Indian Premier League (IPL) said head coach Ricky Ponting. Avesh gave DC the breakthrough on Saturday against Mumbai Indians (MI) by taking the wicket of their captain Rohit Sharma.
DC have been without all-rounder Marcus Stoinis throughout the second half of the 2021 season but Ponting said that the team has been smart in how they have selected their XIs and how they have bought players over the past two seasons. DC have been the dominant team since the season resumed, becoming the second side after Chennai Super Kings to qualify for the playoffs.
