QNADohaDeputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani on Saturday met with the Head of the Political Bureau of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) Dr Ismail Haniya, who is currently visiting the country.During the meeting, they discussed the recent Israeli attacks on the besieged Gaza Strip, in Al-Quds and the events of Sheikh Jarrah neighbourhood. During the meeting, the FM affirmed Qatar’s position rejecting the Israeli attacks and renewed Qatar’s support for the Palestinians and its categorical rejection of violation of the Islamic holy sites.He stressed the need for the international community to act urgently to stop the repeated brutal Israeli attacks against civilians in Gaza and the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.For his part, Dr Ismail Haniya appreciated the position of Qatar, the government and people, on the Palestinian issue, especially on latest events, and stressed the importance of a unified Arab position at this important moment in the history of the Palestinian people’s struggle.
