Innocent 84-year-old woman shot while sitting in her walker on NYC corner
NY Post
An innocent 84-year-old woman was shot while sitting in her walker on a Brooklyn street corner Monday evening.
The woman was struck by a stray bullet in her left arm as she sat on the sidewalk near the intersection of Brooklyn Avenue and Foster Avenue in East Flatbush at around 6:45 pm., police and sources said.
She was rushed to Kings County Hospital and is expected to survive her injuries.
The octogenarian was not the intended target of the shooter, according to law enforcement sources.
The victim’s red walker was left on the sidewalk next to a blood-splatter stain as nearly 20 shell casings littered the street, photos of the aftermath show.
The shooting followed a bloody weekend as summer-eque weather rolled into the Big Apple.

Suddenly, someone had hit a rewind button and everyone had been transported back seven months. It was early spring instead of late fall, it was broiling hot outside the arena walls and not freezing cold. Everyone was back at TD Garden. There were 19,156 frenzied fans on their feet begging for blood, poised for the kill.
