India women tour of Australia: Bijnor's Meghna Singh makes her way to the Indian team

Meghan Singh grew up playing cricket with children in her locality and initially made a name for herself playing with boys in her school. She was one of two uncapped players who were named in the Indian squad for their upcoming tour of Australia.

Meghna Singh is among the uncapped players who have been called up for India's upcoming series in Australia consisting of a one-off day-night Test followed by an ODI and T20I series. A medium pace bowler, Meghna hails from the city of Bijnor in Uttar Pradesh. Meghna grew up playing cricket with other children in her locality. Her father works as a security guard in a sugar mill while her mother works in the local child care centre.
