In their crucial T20 World Cup Super 12 match against New Zealand, India made two changes but both of them were on the expected lines. However, when it came to the team combination, there was a big surprise as Rohit Sharma did not open the batting on Sunday in Dubai.
Ishan Kishan and KL Rahul walked out to open the innings for India after Virat Kohli lost the toss and Kane Williamson opted to field. While Kohli said at the toss that Ishan will bat at the top, quite a few eyebrows were raised when Rohit Sharma did not wear the pads when the two teams came out for the national anthem.
