India vs England: Ishan Kishan 2nd Indian after Ajinkya Rahane to hit fifty on T20I debut

Ishan Kishan celebrated his India debut with a blistering fifty on debut against England in the 2nd T20I on Sunday.

India opener Ishan Kishan became only the 2nd Indian batsman after Ajinkya Rahane to hit a fifty on his T20I debut during the ongoing 2nd match against England in Ahmedabad on Sunday. Ishan Kishan was handed a maiden India call-up for the T20I series following his consistent performances in the Indian Premier League 2020 and the domestic white-ball tournaments. Ishan played as an opener and also batted in the middle-order for Mumbai Indians, scoring 516 runs in 14 matches. He was striking at over 145 and stood up in the absence of Rohit Sharma who missed a couple of games due to injury concerns during their title-winning campaign. Leading Jharkhand in the Vijay Hazare Trophy before he joined Team India in Ahmedabad, Ishan had hit a match-winning 173 against Madhya Pradesh in the tournament opener.
