India vs England: Adil Rashid, who picked up the big wicket of Virat Kohli in England's 1st T20I win, said he has been working hard on his new-ball bowling skills. The leg-spinner will be key to England's success in the remainder of the series.

Adil Rashid has been one of the premier leg-spinners going around in international cricket. The wrist-spinner played a crucial role in helping England win the 2019 World Cup. He has been a consistent performer for them in the shortest format of the game but an Indian Premier League contract has been eluding him. Adil Rashid signed up for the IPL 2021 auction which was held in February with a base price of Rs 1.5 crore. While he made the shortlist of 292 players, there were no takers for the England leg-spinner. After coming up with a match-winning spell against India in the first of the ongoing 5-match T20I series in Ahmedabad, Rashid said IPL snubs haven't bothered him that much as he understands the competition for the leg-spinner's slot in the franchises. Rashid picked up the big wicket of Virat Kohli as England restricted India to 124 for 7 before sealing an 8-wicket win.
