Iindia tour of Sri Lanka: Lakshan Sandakan was appointed as the new captain as Sri Lanka announced a 24-man squad for 3 ODIs and as many T20Is against india from July 28. Wicketkeeper-batsman Kusal Perera misses out with an injury.

Sri Lanka on Friday announced a 24-member squad to take on India in the upcoming ODI and T20I series in Colombo. All-rounder Dasun Shanaka replaced Kusal Perera as their white-ball captain even as the wicketkeeper-batsman has been ruled out of the white-ball series with a shoulder injury. The musical chair for captaincy in white-ball format continues as Dasun Shanaka has become the 6th captain in less than 4 years. He succeeds the likes of Dinesh Chandimal, Angelo Mathews, Lasith Malinga, Dimuth Karunaratne and Kusal Perera.
