Sri Lanka captain Dasun Shanaka praised India ahead of their Super Fours clash on Tuesday, and said that Rohit Sharma and his men have a mindset of trying to beat teams on the international stage.
Both teams will be locking horns in an important match as India are looking to bounce back from their loss to Pakistan, while Sri Lanka are looking to build on the momentum from their back-to-back wins against Bangladesh and Afghanistan respectively.
The Indian team were dealt with an injury blow recently as Ravindra Jadeja had to pull out of the tournament. However, Shanaka still feels beating India will be a challenge.
Speaking ahead of the clash, as quoted by AFP, the Sri Lankan captain said that the Indian players have a lot of experience from playing in the IPL and around the world.
Shanaka also commented on India's mindset and body language, saying that they're always looking to beat teams on the international stage. He said that his team is well-prepared and are looking forward to the clash on Tuesday.
“It doesn’t matter who comes from the Indian side. They come with a lot of experience playing IPL games and around the world,” Shanaka told reporters.
