India reports 25,166 new Covid-19 cases, lowest since mid-March

Among all the states, Kerala has registered the maximum number of fresh covid cases, followed by Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh.

India reported a total of 25,166 new coronavirus cases and 437 deaths in the last 24 hours, the lowest since March 16, according to the health ministry data updated on Tuesday. The country’s cumulative caseload declined to 3,69,846, of which total recoveries were at 3,14,48,754 across the country. In the last 24 hours, active cases decreased by 12,101.Among all the states, Kerala has registered the maximum number of cases at 12,294, followed by Maharashtra with 4,145 cases, Tamil Nadu with 1,851 cases, Karnataka with 1,065 cases and Andhra Pradesh with 909 cases.80.52 per cent of the country's total new cases have been reported from these five states, with Kerala alone responsible for 48.85 per cent.
