India pace bowler Umesh Yadav has said that the overs in the lead-up to lunch on a wicket that had turned placid hurt India as it allowed England to escape from a difficult position and post a 99-run lead in the first innings.
Pacer Umesh Yadav on Friday said that India had leaked runs after the first hour of Day 2 hurt India as England managed to get away with a 99-run lead in the first innings. India were bundled out for 191 in their first innings. England in reply posted 290 as they rode on Ollie Pope’s 81 and Chris Woakes 50 for a 99-run first innings lead.
