India tour of England: Virat Kohli backed his batting unit on the eve of the 2nd Test, which will be played at Lord's from Thursday. The skipper backed Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane and said Rishabh Pant is doing what is expected of him in the middle.
India captain Virat Kohli played down concerns over Ajinkya Rahane and Cheteshwar Pujara's form, saying that the team is focused on putting their best batting unit on the park and delivering in tough batting conditions. The skipper said individual performances, at least from their two senior batsmen, are not their area of concern so far in England. Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane haven't had the best of starts to the England tour. While both Pujara and Rahane failed to get going in the World Test Championship final in June, the Big 3, including captain Virat Kohli, failed in the series opener in Nottingham. While Kohli was dismissed for a golden duck by James Anderson, Pujara was dismissed for 4 in the first innings at Trent Bridge while Rahane managed 5.More Related News
