Income Tax dept detects large-scale illegal export of medicines from India to China 

The Income Tax department has detected large-scale illegal export of medicines from India to China after conducting searches at premises linked to a firm involved in trading of telecom equipment.

The Income Tax department has detected large-scale illegal export of medicines from India to China after conducting searches at premises linked to a firm involved in the business of telecom equipment, officials said. “They [the firm] were found to be engaged in large-scale illegal trade of medicines from India to China,” said the officials.They further added that tax liability of hundreds of crores had been identified so far and unaccounted cash of more than Rs 62 lakh was found at the firm's premises. Three of the firm's premises have been placed under restraint.
