In reply to fresh summons, Anil Deshmukh requests ED to wait for SC proceedings

In a reply to the fresh summons by the Enforcement Directorate, former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh has requested the central agency to wait for the outcome of his petition in the Supreme Court.

Day after moving the Supreme Court for protection in a money laundering case, former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh, in a reply to the fresh summons by the Enforcement Directorate, shot off an 8-page letter to the central agency, requesting it to wait for the outcome of his petition. Anil Deshmukh has also expressed "shock, dismay, and concern" over the depiction of events that had occurred from June 25 onwards. Anil Deshmukh has pointed out that the ED has not given any response to his request seeking the ECIR copy.
