In MS Dhoni's absence, Kuldeep Yadav has to find own solution to regain form: Venkatapathy Raju

India tour of Sri Lanka: Former India spinner Venkatapathy Raju said Kuldeep Yadav should stick to his strengths and bowl without pressure in Sri Lanka if he is to regain form and make a case for his inclusion in India's T20 World Cup squad.

Former India spinner Venkatapathy Raju urged Kuldeep Yadav to find his own solution in a bid to return to form in the absence of MS Dhoni, whom he considers a mentor figure. Raju said Kuldeep can no more rely on Dhoni for tactical inputs and thus needs to back himself in the lead up to the remainder of the Indian Premier League and the T20 World Cup. Kuldeep Yadav has often stressed how MS Dhoni made life easy for spinners with his inputs from behind the wickets. The numbers do tell a story as Kuldeep picked up 93 of his 105 ODI wickets before Dhoni retired from international cricket.
