In a first, the Border Roads Organisation extended access to the Zojila pass beyond December 31.

In a first, the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) extended access to the Zojila pass, which links the Union Territory of Ladakh with the rest of the country, beyond December 31.Zojila pass is located at an altitude of 11,649 ft. The BRO achieved this feat through its frontline projects Vijayak and Beacon.

Last year, the access was extended till December 31, 2020. The BRO said it embarked on the journey to better its own record by reorganising and adding a few more snow clearance detachments and equipment.
